If you notice the structure of this poem, the rhyme scheme is ABCA, a type of rhyme structure that is meant to induce a sense of entrapment in the protagonist. The last part of the poem has no rhyme scheme, in a bid to somehow suggest that the protagonist, at the very end, may have found some remote sense of freedom or peace. However, it is a saddening thing to know that this freedom that is experienced only at the very end, only at the point where she tried to end her life. Yet we notice that even with the lack of the rhyme scheme at the end, there was a repetition of the opening line, suggesting that even with this tragic turn of events, Adeline Ng Ai Choo, along with countless other students of Singapore, can never escape their fates brought about by an artificial educational system.

Bloggging

I've blogged since primary 5. & i've the experience of blogging
- Editting skins & post etc. Blogging was my first choice, followed by powerpoint.
However, i find that blogging might be a easier choice for me, & it'll not be of any hassles.
Powerpoint will be the more boring choice, if blogging is added to it.
I chose this skin, is because that it is dark. It has the feeling of being desserted, and it
fits the theme of being lonely, being pressurized. I chose to add in songs, to make my blog
a better one, as when people view my blog, they can read my poem & listen to the songs
at the same time.

Difficulties i've faced :

I wanted to make my poem more outstanding, by using the rhyme scheme of ABCA, which means the ending of the first line and the fourth line rhymthes. I've to brainstorm abit more about the idea, based on the story. As i had no experience of doing a poem before,
i totally had no ideas on what to do. I was ignorant about poem.
There was one time when i was doing my poem, and it was a rainy day that day, the thunder, made my electricity power socket go off, when i was doing my poem halfway.
I was exasperated T_T! When everything was fine, i've to re-do my poem again,
because the file cannot be retrieved anymore. This is one of the technical problems that i've recieved while doing this project.

Resources that helped me in my poem

I read books, and research on internet for creating a poem creatively. During this one week of holidays, i've researched on different types of poem written by different type of author. :) I'm glad there's this thing called " internet " in this modern day, which helped me in doing my poem.

How did the Poetry Slam Clinic helped me in my poem :

I had no interest in Poetry before, i totally have no knowledge about it. But my school introduced us a Poetry lesson, taught by other instructor. They're Chris & George (If i'm correct, his name is George), the first lesson was taught by Chris. He was very hyper, and i was attracted to his type of teaching. Slowly, i started to love Poetry. It was this poetry slam clinic that pulled poetry closer to me. It is without doubts that, this poetry slam helped me alot in my work of poem. :D

After this project.... :

After doing this project, of choosing one story based on the book " Little Ironies " by Catherine Lim,
I feel that Catherine Lim is a good poet. She makes her story short, however , every words could show the meaning of the story. The words may seem to be simple, yet when you try to decode the meaning, it might be of a bit of difficulty. Definitely, i've learnt more about writting poems. When
writing poem, feelings must be added in, to let the readers be absorbed in the story.
